Description For the purpose of salvaging timber and steel, Bureau of Reclamation crews dismantle the old MWAK bridge below the dam, designed to carry a railroad spur to Mason City. Slides on the east bank stopped the railroad project and confined the use of the bridge to heavy trucking. Format Original photographic prints scanned at 24 bit color, with 4000 pixels by the long side, for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. Prints were then batch translated into JPEG files. These JPEGs were then added to the CONTENTdm database at WSU Libraries.
