Master Clock

Washington State University Libraries

Field Value
Title Master Clock
Description The time standard for the regulation of generator speed is a master clock in the control room of the left powerhouse. The block is driven by energy from a storage battery. A feeble pulsating electric current, generated by a 60-cycle tuning fork, and amplified by vacuum tubes, supplies the clock motor with accurately timed impulses from the storage battery, and thus determines the lock speed. Clock speed controls are shown. The time standard for the regulation of generator speed is a master clock in the control room of the left powerhouse.
