Mixing Plant Deconstruction

Washington State University Libraries

Field Value
Title Mixing Plant Deconstruction
Description Like many old construction landmarks, the CBI concrete mixing plant, often aptly referred to as "the house of magic" because of its almost-automatic operation, is disappearing from the project. It was erected early in 1938, to produce the 6,000,000 cubic yards of concrete needed to complete the giant dam on the foundation provided by an earlier contractor.
