Description The hoisting mechanism of the 10,000-pound elevator in Block 11. It consists of a 120 h.p. direct-current motor; a drum for the cables which support the car and counterweights; brake drum, shoes, and magnet; brake switch; and mileage recorder. Format Original photographic prints scanned at 24 bit color, with 4000 pixels by the long side, for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. Prints were then batch translated into JPEG files. These JPEGs were then added to the CONTENTdm database at WSU Libraries
