Title | Control Cable Tunnel |
Description | Control cable tunnel, two-thirds of a mile long and 12 feet in diameter, for carrying the electrical lines that will someday join the dam's two powerhouses into a common network. Conduits have been embedded in the concrete floor, and cable trays, on which some of the cables will rest, will be erected along the walls. The track in the floor will be used by a flatcar carrying cable reels to facilitate stringing the heavy wires.
