Field Value
Title Misty Switchyard
Description Take-off towers in bay LY-1 of the 17 bay, 230-kilovolt left switchyard formed one end of the fist transmission lines to join Grand Coulee and Bonneville dams. The circuit was temporarily strung to this bay because of a shortage of steel for towers in bay LY-8 where the permanent connection will be made at a later date. The cloud in the background is arising from the spillway of the Grand Coulee Dam not far away.
