Description A 527-ton rotor, for the first of the 108,000 kilowatt generating sets, being fitted inside the stator or stationary section of main unit L-3. Two 350-ton cranes, joined together by means of a 60-ton lifting beam consisting of two single-trees and a double-tree, lower the rotor into place. Format Original photographic prints scanned at 24 bit color, with 4000 pixels by the long side, for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. Prints were then batch translated into JPEG files. These JPEGs were then added to the CONTENTdm database at WSU Libraries.
