Description Excavation activity at west tailrace slide area. The West Vista House formerly stood to the left, in front of the shaft cribbing which shows above the end of the dragline boom. Cranes shown during the excavation process for the construction of the West Highway by private contractors.

Format Original photographic prints scanned at 24 bit color, with 4000 pixels by the long side, for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. Prints were then batch translated into JPEG files. These JPEGs were then added to the CONTENTdm database at WSU Libraries
