Description View of the downstream face of the Grand Coulee Dam from the west abutment. River elevation as follows: downstream, 947.06; upstream, 1247.7. The workmen in the left foreground are engaged in erecting one of the steel towers for the 230-kilovolt transformer circuit No. 3. A picture in approximately the same place as the one taken on March 31st, 1941 which roughly shows the construction process throughout the year including the absence of the car skip, which was used to transport 684 carloads of material throughout its use.

Format Original photographic prints scanned at 24 bit color, with 4000 pixels by the long side, for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. Prints were then batch translated into JPEG files. These JPEGs were then added to the CONTENTdm database at WSU Libraries
