| Description | The Columbia River at flood stage flows over 16 low blocks in the spillway section of the dam. The outlet conduits at elevation 934 were also used for river diversion and at this date 18 of the 20 conduits were open. On 01 June 1939 the Columbia River reached a peak flow of 289,900 feet per second, but by 21 June contractors began scheduled construction activities again. |
