| Description | The Columbia River at flood stage is diverted over spillway blocks at elevation 995. the conduit liners are in place for the outlet works at elevation 1036. The amount of progress in 1939 is visible when looking at the growth of the spillway blocks seen here at flood stage. During flood stage as seen in this picture contractors not only used the elevation 934 outlet works for river diversion, but 17 spillway diversion channels to control the extra flow associated with flood season. |
