Description At the close of 1939, Consolidated Builders had completed 68.5% of the contract work for Grand Coulee Dam. With more than 9,000,000 cu. Yds. Of concrete in the structure, the right and left abutment sections were within 100 feet of the top and ultimate height, el. 1311.08. The spillway section was still below the construction deck level, el 1180, but progressing on schedule. With the exception of the station service and control bays, the left powerhouse building was near to completion.... Format Original photographic prints were scanned at 24 bit 3000 pixels by the long side for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. While 24 bit 150 PPI JPEG also created and added to the CONTENTdm database at the WSU Libraries.
