| Description | An unpainted rack is lowered into the prime dipping tank. The primer is a coal tar pitch paint. (CTP-1), and one coat is applied. After a 72-hour drying interval, the rack is dipped into a hot mix of TP-2 pitch for the second and final coat. A table of painted items is available in CBPH vol. VII, 215. |
