Aggregate Batcher

Washington State University Libraries

Field Value
Title Aggregate Batcher
Description An aggregate batcher and its automatic cut-off scale for weighing a batch of aggregate. The scale may be set for a number of different weights, any of which may be used at the option of the operator. However, the weight of particular aggregate is determined by the design of the mix.(CBPH VII, 140) Batching equipment discharged water throughout batching process, while coarse gravel and cobbles poured in for the first 3 seconds of the mixing period total of 10-13 seconds. For the next ten seconds the machine discharged cement, fine gravel and intermediate gravel together. This produced standard mix of 1-2.6-7.1, with a slump of 2-1/2 inches and water to cement ration of .60.
