Title Aerial View 1939
Description The 1939 flood stage of the Columbia River is diverted over low blocks in the spillway section of Grand Coulee Dam. Concrete placing, which is in progress on either side of the spillway, will be resumed therein when the flood waters subside. To the 6,330,000 cu. yds. of concrete in the structure, Consolidated Builders will add 2,700,000 cu. yds. to increase the grand total to more than 9,000,000 cu. yds. before the close of the year. Format Original photographic prints were scanned at 24 bit 3000 pixels by the long side for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. While 24 bit 150 PPI JPEG also created and added to the CONTENTdm database at the WSU Libraries.
