Thermometer Cable

Washington State University Libraries

Field Value
Title Thermometer Cable
Description Thermometer cable about to be embedded in new concrete. A water circulation system in the Grand Coulee Dam could change the rate at which water would be pumped through the cooling lines running the length of the dam. When combined with thermometer cables this system ensured the maintenance of optimal concrete temperature conditions to minimize shrinkage or expansion of the concrete which could lead to cracking.
