| Description | Blockouts completed for the elevation 934 outlet works conduit gates by the Mason-Walsh-Atkinson-Kier Company. They are 26'-10" x 30' in size, with floor elevation at 917.5 and the top at elevation 975. Due to the inability of the Hardie-Tynes Company to deliver the completed gates in time for the Mason-Welsh-Atkinson-Kier Company to embed them in the dam during 1937, it was necessary to provide blockouts for the future installation of the gates. Here are the forms that will house the steel penstock outlet tubes for water to flow into and out of the power generator turbine at the Grand Coulee Dam. |
