Description | C.B.I. workmen dismantling the cross-river aggregate conveyor suspension bridge, erected and used by the M.W.A.K. Company. Due to the uncertainty as to the foundations of the central tower, it was necessary that the bridge be removed before a flood stage of 100,000 second-feet was reached in the river in the spring of 1938. Dismantling of the upper portion of the central conveyor suspension bridge crossing the Columbia River. |
