Description | Cooling water supply pipe, upstream, near east abutment. Water pipe that provided water to be circulated through the Grand Coulee Dam to ensure the temperature of the drying structure would not reach above a certain threshold. By cooling the concrete the pipes funneled away heat to ensure a proper setting. |
