The construction of a conveyor system for the east side began in 1936 and was completed in January. The system consisted of four major parts, four feeders in excavation area, one central feeder converging at lateral conveyors of the four feeders, on main conveyor, 1,450 feet long, extending from the central feeder to the Atkinson dump, and on the dump, one stacker unit for the discharging end of the main conveyor.
