Description Collapsing of cell 3 of steel cluster "G" at time of cofferdam leak, March 18, 1937. Contractor's field office burning after falling down from top of cell after collapse. On March 17, 1937, a leak developed near the extreme west end of the downstream cross-river cofferdam, known as cell cluster "G. Increasing within a couple of days to over 30,000 gallons per minute within a few days. This flow undermined the cofferdam cell and caused it to collapse, though quick action by the contractor prevented disastrous delays in construction.

Format Original photographic prints were scanned at 24 bit 3000 pixels by the long side for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. While 24 bit 150 PPI JPEG also created and added to the CONTENTdm database at the WSU Libraries.
