Description Grand Coulee Dam, viewed from the east side. In the foreground appear trestles, and crane equipment used for placing concrete; the middle ground shows excavation work in progress in the main river channel; the background shows concrete placed (1,800,000 cubic yards) in the west side dam and power house area. Standing out prominently in the center of the picture are blocks 39 and 40 which, together, form a section of the dam 100 feet wide. Timber and steel cofferdams extend out from both ends... Aerial view of the east side construction progress during the first months of 1937.

Format Original photographic prints were scanned at 24 bit 3000 pixels by the long side for master TIFF files on an Epson Expression 10,000 XL scanner. While 24 bit 150 PPI JPEG also created and added to the CONTENTdm database at the WSU Libraries.
