Description | Pier No. 2 Enlargement Modification of Design J. H. Pomeroy Co. Inc. used a 110-foot diameter steel sheet pile cofferdam to surround the pier, excavated 28,000 cubic yards of sand and clay to an average depth of 85 feet, and then placed 8,830 cubic yards of concrete in an enlargement of the base of the pier. |
