| Description | Looking toward west side of block 40. Drainage and grouting gallery at elevation 880, and the 900 elevation galleries, bents for "1024" trestle to the left, and tie-in to cell in cluster "D" of west cofferdam. Shown her is the drainage and grouting gallery underneath the high placing trestle. In addition to heating and cooling the galleries provided access to grouting ports that workers used to pressure grout the individual cells of the dam together to create a monolithic structure. |
