| Description | Longitudinal gallery, 900 elevation, with supply and return headers for cooling system. Another image of the gallery where pipes for cooling could be accessed from both ends of the dam. Not only would these pipes prevent excess temperatures impacting the dam integrity, they prevent the freezing and thawing cycle that is so detrimental to the durability of the dam structure. |
