Title | West Side Construction Complex |
Description | Looking west across the dam. Block 31 in foreground, high and low placing trestles distance. Suspension bridge for aggregate in upper right corner. This image shows the evolution of the monolithic block structure. The forms would allowed grooved sides in the poured blocks. Removing and pouring in the interval blocks allows for an interlocked and monolithic dam structure as seen below the cell tops where workers are actively cleaning the top layer in preparation for an additional block foundation. |
