Description | Looking west, block 31 in near foreground - high and low trestles, conveyor bridge and Westmix, cantilever and whirley cranes. Part of Smith Valley gorge in foreground. Overall view of the western bank excavation and construction activities. Notice the integration of the steel upper and lower placement trestles as reinforcement for the structure of the dam. The efficiency of operations was primarily responsible for the record pouring of concrete and early completion of the Dam. |
