Description | 1 map; 23 x 19 cm. Scale: 15 miles to 1 inch. The Klamath Indian reservation was formed on October 14, 1864, placing the Klamath, Modoc, and Paiute Indians onto traditional Klamath Indian land. The reservation went through a long series of border disputes before it was dissolved in 1954, but that dissolution was reversed in 1986. |

Format | Original maps were scanned in color at 600 dpi on a Microtek 9600XL scanner and saved as TIFF files. The TIFF files were converted into the MrSID format at a compression ratio of 12 to 1 using LizardTech's Geospatial Encoder 1.5 software.
