Proposed dredging to 20 ft at low water shown by hachures. In order to make the city of Vancouver, Washington, more accessible by water up the Columbia, a proposal was adopted in 1892 to dam half the river south of Hayden Island, thus forcing water north of the island and creating a deeper channel past Vancouver.... |

| Format | Original maps were scanned in color at 600 dpi on a Microtek 9600XL scanner and saved as TIFF files. The TIFF files were converted into the MrSID format at a compression ratio of 12 to 1 using LizardTech's Geospatial Encoder 1.5 software.
