Description 1 map; 32 x 29 cm. From June 1st, 1905 to October 15th, 1905, Portland, Oregon hosted the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition. The world's fair garnered just under two and a half million admissions, made a hefty profit for its investors, and was boasted to have attracted 100,000 new residents to Portland. Format Original maps were scanned in color at 600 dpi on a Microtek 9600XL scanner and saved as TIFF files. The TIFF files were converted into the MrSID format at a compression ratio of 12 to 1 using LizardTech's Geospatial Encoder 1.5 software. These MrSid files were then uploaded into the CONTENTdm database at the Washington State University Libraries. image/jpeg
