Description 1 map; 23 cm x 29 cm. This map is one of four surveys of prosepective pass crossings bound together in this volume. However, when the Northern Pacific finally completed its passage across the Cascades in 1888, the passage it had chosen was Garfield Pass, renamed to Stampede Pass, which is not one of the four initially surveyed. This route over Snoqualmie Pass was eventually used by the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad in 1909.
