Description From the study of this 1-60 working model of the dam, and a scaled section of the river channel, came much valuable information regarding the action of the water in the spillway bucket, and the washing of material in the river bed directly downstream from it. In its preliminary report of May 26, 1933, the Bureau of Reclamation considered a multiple arch dam, 150 feet high (above low water level), 3,400 feet long on the crest, and containing approximately 2,000,000 cubic yards of concrete....
