Title | Girder Framework of Drum Gate |
Description | Here may be seen the girder framework of a drum gate in the extreme raised position during erection. Hinges of the gate may be seen at the left end of each horizontal girder. The chamber in which the structure will float, on water admitted from the forebay to the left, is directly beneath it. These drum gates are the largest of their kind ever installed. |
