| Description | This is a scene during night construction behind the cofferdam on the east side. Here it appeared to one as a huge stage setting from some Gargantuan drama, lighted by hundreds of gleaming globes, where a myriad of tiny objects moved from among the shadows into circles of radiance, and then on again into the farther gloom. |
