Title | Emptying Blaw-Knox Concrete Buckets |
Description | After the concrete was dumped from the buckets it was vibrated into a compact mass by means of electrically driven vibrators, which caused the concrete to spread without separation of the components, and eliminated the entrapped air. The bucket-like vessel embedded in the concrete in the foreground will be removed as soon as the concrete has "set up" thus forming a sump for collecting the water and sand during the clean-up operations. After at least 3 days, each lift was scrupulously... Following dumping the bucket it was 36 hours before the form could be stripped off, and not less than 72 hours could elapse between successive column pours. |
