Title | Gravel Processing Plant |
Description | The gravel processing plant was rebuilt between contracts into the world's largest plant of its kind; twice the size of the one used at Boulder Dam. Its capacity was 20,000 cubic yards of aggregate per day. The four towers on the far side of the main building are fitted with zigzag steps or baffles to prevent any breaking or chipping of the aggregates as they fall from the conveyor to the stockpiles. The pumping plant for the gravel plant may be seen built on a pier projecting out into the... Aerial Photograph of the entire gravel processing plant for production of concrete to be used in the Grand Coulee Dam. |
