Title Pulling Steel Sheet Cofferdams
Description Pulling the interlocking steel sheet piling of the cofferdams and piers was accomplished with these power clamps operated by steam hoists on derrick barges. In construction of the steel cofferdams it was estimated that steam hammers weighing up to 7,000 pounds each, had to strike 30 blows every time a strip of steel piling was driven one inch.
