Title Upstream Arm of Cross-River Cofferdam
Description This is the beginning of the upstream arm of the crossriver cofferdam during the winter of 1936. It is projecting from the east bank of the river toward the steel cells of the west cofferdam. The wooden cribs were constructed on the river bank and floated into position where they were filled with rock and gravel and sunk. 9 million board feet of timbers in these cofferdams was not salvaged but burned in huge pyres.

Format Original photographic prints were scanned at 24 bit 3000 pixels by the long side for master TIFF files on an Plustek OpticBook 3600 Plus. Also, 24 bit 150 PPI JPEGs were created with the OpticBook 3600 Plus and added to the CONTENTdm database at the WSU Libraries
