Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; fish 1 the DOI and CUWCD will participate in carrying out the reasonable and prudent alternative identified by the FWS in their 1998 duchesne river basin final biological opinion for the four listed colorado river fish species the FWS has determined that completion andor implementation of all elements of the reasonable and prudent alternative will offset impacts of projects identified in their analysis and will avoid the likelihood of jeopardy and the destruction or adverse modification of critical habitats wildlife 1 roosting boosting Ro osting surveys for spotted and Town townsend sends big eared bats FS sensitive species will be conducted in suitable habitat along pipeline corridors during the first year following project authorization occupied roost sites at non reservoir features will be marked to avoid impacts on the bats recreation developments 1 the CUWCD conu bonu commits nits aits to provide funding to extend the existing boat ramp to the new high water line of the enlarged big sand wash reservoir so the public has access 2 commitments to stabilize water levels in four high mountain lakes in the lake fork drainage and nine high mountain lakes in the yellowstone river drainage establish reestablish re natural flow regimes in streams draining from the 13 stabilized lakes provide in stream flows for the lake fork river between moon lake dam and the big sand wash feeder diversion structure provide bypass flows for the yellowstone river past the yellowstone feeder diversion structure and enlarge big sand wash reservoirs surface area by about 50 percent all would contribute to increased recreational opportunities particularly angling opportunities in the section 203 project area cultural resources 1 adverse effects on cultural and paleontological resources will be mitigated by avoiding additional data recovery of the affected resources following review of the class III 111 ili ill lil survey reports by the state historic preservation officer and subsequent mitigation recommendations for affected eligible properties D 6
