Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; 5 page N 4 first paragraph the report states the coordination of ground water and surface supplies to avoid waste is currently practiced in both salt lake and utah counties there is undoubtedly some coordination but optimum conjunctive use basin wide is still a long way from attainment generally the statement treats wildlife in a favorable manner however we do have the following comments terrestrial wildlife permanent loss of 3487 acres of terrestrial wildlife habitat will result from construction and operation of jordanelle jordanehe Jor danelle daneHe danele reservoir and relocation of US highways 40 and alternate 189 wildlife losses will result from habitat inundation habitat isolation recreation disturbance and displacement and highway mortality mitigation of wildlife losses can be accomplished by acquisition of replacement habitat implementation plemen tation of the bureau of reclamations proposed wildlife mitigation plan to acquire 1910 acres for wildlife table A 3 page A 26 would provide adequate mitigation for the majority of impacted species with the exception of the golden eagle the reservoir is only 500 to 1500 feet from three alternate eagle nests and combined with the planned recreation development on the east arm and recreation activities will wilt wiil have a sustained detrimental impact on the nesting golden eagles contrary to the statement in the third paragraph on page C 47 the planned extensive recreational development west of Jor dor jordanelle jordanetle Jordane danelle lle tle reservoir including a major ski resort page B 4 and an estimated 104
