Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; SUMMARY incorporate enhancement measures into the project to help conserve the june sucker population reclamation has agreed to work with the fish and wildlife service and the state to help enhance the conservation of the june sucker under the constraints of the mai m&i system cultural resources page C 57 of FES cultural resource studies completed to date in the project area indicate that the project will have no effect on prehistoric cultural resources three specific cultural resource studies are completed or are in progress and will be done before construction begins on jordan elle dam and reservoir one of the studies will further evaluate the olmsted powerplant Power plant which is listed on the national register the heber light plant 13 other historic cultural resources recorded by reclamation personnel in 1981 and any new historic sites A second study was the inventory evaluation and documentation of historic dams on upper provo river reservoirs the keeper of the national register determined these historic resources eligible on january 9 1987 A third inventory and evaluation survey covered the US highway 189 and the wasatch county road realignments these surveys are in addition to surveys already completed as described in the FES consultation since 1979 with the utah state historic preservation officer resulted in a determination on april 1 1981 that closure of the olmsted powerplant Power plant would not con statute stitute an adverse impact since there are no plans at present for chang ing the fabric of the structures subsequent discussions with the advi adai sory council on historic preservation I 1 ACHP indicate the ACHP may not agree with the no adverse effect finding for olmsted powerplant Power plant of reclamation and the utah state historic preservation officer once the national park service completes the requested inventory evaluation and possible mitigation approaches study for all historic resources a formal request for the ACHPs comments will be requested to finalize the consultation process reclamation and the state of utah have signed a memorandum of agreement which stipulates that mitigation measures for all historic sites be completed prior to construction this memorandum of agreement has been sent to the ACHP for review and signature climate not covered in the FES A reclamation contracted study determined that the presence of water impounded in proposed jordanelle Jor danelle reservoir will not significantly impact the temperature and precipitation climate of surrounding heber valley so some sone me increased fog will occur in winter weather it was concluded 1 I the advisory council on historic preservation is an independent agency of the federal government which advises the president and the congress on matters relating to historic preservation and also reviews federal undertakings that affect properties included in or eligible for inclusion in the national register of historic places S sig 16
