Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; 12 may 1979 regional director L bureau of reclamation 125 south state street salt lake city utah 84147 dear sir I 1 john lambert Dres dree president ident of beaver shingle creek irrigation company respectfully respectfplly submit the following statements the need for 2500 2500 acre feet of supplemental water for late season irri arri irrigation gatlon gation has been a recurring problem within the kamas area study of alternative approaches to alleviate the kamas irrigation water shortage problem has been under taken by various agencies and groups through the years the weber basin project was scheduled to provide water with the larrapee larrabee larramee Lar dar rapee reservoir and necessary canal however the larrabee project has been declared unfeasible early studies of a reservoir on beaver creek showed a high eos cos cost exceeding the repayment ability of the lands receiving the additional 1838 acre reet feet foet ceet roet of water waiter welter werter however this project also appeared unfeasible there are several alternatives to get this water and they should be studied and action taken we are ane ade respectfully requesting government agencies to provide ways and means that chat ahat this water can be transported transferred or delivered into the beaver creek system these waters are 900 acre feet in the deer creek reservoir and 700 acre feet of well water being bought from weber basin project and also to make up the 2500 acre feet of water specified in various studies which should be supplied by the weber basin or central utah through the bureau of reclamation sincerely isi ssi hsi
