Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; NATIONAL parg PARK PAM paw SERVICE REPORT secondary areas several areas of secondary interest are accessible from U S 40 and others appear in interesting locations elsewhere on the reservoir those with direct access from U S 40 are of course more readily available but there is access to the others over the unimproved dirt road which now extends around the entire reservoir this road will be inundated in several places by the enlargement but it is probable that the road will be relocated where necessary if justified secondary areas could include consideration for the following developments a group camps for organized camping by boy or girl scouts 4 H clubs and other quasi public groups b summer home sites are available in several locations the principal consideration in planning such sites is to avoid interference with public use areas and their expansion summer home sites are of secondary importance and should be considered only after provision for the general public is assured for the present and foreseeable future c fishing villages or barracks could prove very popular here the present reservoir is reported to be recognized by trout fishermen incidental areas incidental areas for picnicking camping small boat landings etc are numerous and should be considered in relation to roads other developments need and use recommended land acquisitions while it is assumed that much of the land required for recreational development may be acquired in connection with primary project purposes it is advisable to mention at least one area which should be acquired in its entirety up to U S 40 and reserved for recreational use and development namely the windy ridge described under recommended recreational development other areas for recommended development should be considered at the time severance lines are established suitable areas are available for group camp fishing village and camp sites in portions of sections 19 30 and 34 of T 3 S sc R 11 W and in section 8 of T 4 S R 11 W wo uinta special base and meridian this does not imply that 38
