Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; CHAPTER IV consultation AND coordination reclamation met monthly with the wasatch county commissioners to discuss progress and potential problem areas of the proposed J jordanelle ordanelle organelle Jor joc or danelle project the projects manager of the utah projects office gave a presenta tion on the jordanelle Jor danelle dam and reservoir and the central utah project in heber city utah A six7member six member panel answered questions 1985 in may 1985 a notice of intent to prepare a supplement to the final environmental statement was published in the federal register related press releases were sent to area newspapers and other news media and public hearings were planned to be scheduled as part of the public review process three meetings were held with the wasatch county water users associ assoni atlon individual canal companies the utah division of water resources the wasatch county commission and the central utah water Conser conservanc conservancy conservant vanc district to discuss the possibility of using the water level or hea headl cheadl 121 in jordanelle Jor danelle reservoir to pressurize a sprinkler irrigation system in heber valley the state division of water resources has been heading a study team to address different options for improved irrigation systems for the valley reclamation held meetings on a monthly basis with the wasatch county commissioners to keep them current on project plans and to invite their input several individual meetings were held with local concerned citizens and meetings were held with kamas city officials and the summit county commission by invitation several presentations were made during the year to various civic and government groups schools and professional groups several meetings were held with the utah department of wildlife resources and fish and wildlife service to identify and evaluate the impacts of proposed changes in the project plan and data needs for section 7 compliance under the endangered species act reclamation also met with the forest service and other cooperating agencies to complete plans for the high mountain reservoir stabilization program during the fall of 1985 considerable media attention was focused on modifications of the repayment contract for the bonneville unit of the central utah project the renewed attention to the central utah project and the subsequent election on the repayment contract held november 19 1985 provided the public an opportunity to become acquainted or reacquainted with the projects benefits and costs and to exercise judgment on its feasibility and acceptability the results of the special election indicated a significant level of public approval with ta t7 1 the elevation in feet that water falls to produce energy 86
