Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; has been increased to 22300 acre feet the total goal for fishery bypass is 44400 acre feet investigations are now under way to provide means to achieve the total fishery goal and still preserve the project water supply the unit is divided into six systems according to location and function 1 the starvation complex 2 the strawberry collection system 3 the municipal and industrial system 4 the irrigation and drainage system 5 the bureau of indian affairs development and 6 the diamond fork power system although these systems are designed for interrelated operations to provide the maximum efficiency they could operate independently if necessary B relationship OF THE UTAH LAKE FEATURES TO THE bonneville UNIT the utah lake features of the bonneville unit would be part of the irrigation and drainage system under the proposed plan for the bonneville unit the municipal and industrial system and the diamond fork power system would be constructed and operating at the time operation of the irrigation and drainage iad i&d system begins the iad i&d system figure 12 1 2 would provide about 178400 acre feet of water for irrigation and for municipal and industrial use in the bonneville basin the sources of the additional project water supply would be 1 reducing evaporation losses from utah lake 2 recovering return flows and saving spills and importing water from the uinta basin through the strawberry collection system and the diamond fork power system under the plan described in the 1973 bonneville unit final environmental statement INT FES 73 42 the iad i&d system water supply would be used for municipal and industrial purposes in southern utah county and juab county and for irrigation in southern utah county juab county and the sevier river basin of the total 178400 acre feet of iad i&d system supply about 105000 acre feet according to the bonneville unit FES would be developed by diking utah lake to reduce the surface area and thereby 13 1 3
