| Relation | Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; september 20 1979 COMMENTS REGARDING UPALCO UNIT CENTRAL UTAH PROJECT DRAFT environmental STATEMENT I 1 am writing in behalf of myself ronald J goodrich sharleen goodrich bernard oberhansley phillis oberhansley leon dump and mary dump who own properties and improvements along the yellowstone river in duchesne county which consists of 160 acres this property is used for summer homes and for use with adjacent cattle range after attending the E I 1 S hearing in roosevelt on september 13 1979 we would like to express our views which coincide with those of the statement of merrill heward representing property owners of the yellowstone ranch and also those of mark crystal representing owners of the crystal ranch we are opposed to the changing of private owned lands to federal lands when the majority of our county and state is already owned or controlled by the federal government we also believe that privately owned properties such as ours helps out the fish game and wildlife where they are allowed to roam freely we do not fill the proposed project would effect the wildlife to the extent that private owned property would need to be obtained against our will and nothing would be gained by displacing the existing land owners along the yellowstone river 1 163 |
