Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; 3 objective the state requests that the following funds be included in the public works appropriation bill for fiscal year 1980 for the individual units of the central utah project bonneville unit construction 44464000 jensen unit construction 6000000 upalco unit construction 2200000 uintah unit advance planning 2000 2000000 ooo 000 recreation fish & wildlife 6340000 the secretary of interior personally has assured me that the funds requested are within the performance capabilities of the US bureau of reclamation I 1 have the understanding that the department of interior stands behind and supports these capabilities I 1 appreciate the administrations support for the project the impacts of this project will be felt by practically every person and establishment in the state of utah the project will develop water for municipal and industrial use irrigation recreation fish and wildlife and energy it will also provide benefits to flood control and waterquality water quality control the state of utah supports the funds recommended by the president in his fiscal year 1980 budget for the bonneville unit the jensen unit and for recreation fish and wildlife facilities I 1 would like to make a special appeal that funds be included in your legislation to permit the start of construction of the upalco unit and to complete the advance planning and if possible start construction on the uintah unit these are companion units with 1 106
