Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; in utah lake will be exchanged upstream on provo river for water that presently flows into utah lake the replaced provo river water will be stored in jordanezle jordanelte Jorda nalle nelte neZLe reservoir to be constructed 6 miles north of heber city water from Jorda Jor jop dop jordaneue jordanelle ngue danelle neUe neng reservoir will be used for some irrigation in the heber area are a and for municipal and industrial purposes in northern utah and salt lake counties distribution of the municipal and industrial water will be by the jordan aqueduct system sytem ute indian unit the ute indian unit could be considered an enlargement and extension of the bonneville unit when completed it could well constitute the backbone of an overall state water plan by direct diversions and water exchanges it will have a significant impact on water supplies in most of utah investigations on a feasibility scope are being made for this unit basically the ute indian unit will provide for additional water resource development in the uinta basin and for exportation of addi tional dional water to the bonneville basin twomajor Two major aqueducts will be constructed struc ted in the uinta basin the 90 mile long flaming gorge aqueduct will convey water from flaming gorge reservoir to meet the growing demands in the uinta basin and also to replace water already used within the basin that will be diverted to the bonneville basin the 60 mile long uintah aqueduct will intercept several streams draining the south slopes of the uinta mountains and will convey the water to the enlarged strawberry aqueduct water collected by this aqueduct is to be used in the most highly developed part of the state along the wasatch front 4
