| Relation | Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; WHITE NAMED TO CENTRAL UTAH WATER conservancy DISTRICT BOARD melvin B white a member of the duchesne county commission has been appointed to the board of directors of the central utah water conservancy district the appointment was made by fourth disrict district judge maurice harding november 13 1970 the appointment was made to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of leo L brady mr brady resigned september 15 1970 HILBERT NAMED VICE CHAIRMAN robert B hilbert director has been named as the new vice chairman of the central utah water conservancy district mr hilbert has been a director of the district since its organization in 1964 mr hilbert succeeds mr brady who resigned mr hilbert is general manager of the salt lake county water conservancy district he has held this position since it was organized in 1953 RESOLI resolution resolition aion to TO GEORGE DEWEY CLYIE CLYDE clyne at its annual meeting the central utah water conservancy district presented to former governor george D clyde a plaque outlining his many achievements in the field of water development the following resolution was inscribed on the plaque which was signed by all directors of the district CENTRAL UTAH WATER conservancy DISTRICT RESOLUION OF commendation TO GEORGE D CLYDE WHEREAS george D clyde has rendered great service to the people of the state of utah and has established an international reputation in the field of water development and WHEREAS george D clyde has distinguished himself as governor of the state of utah director of the utah water and power board dean of school of engineering of utah state university director of research of irrigation and drainage for soil conservation service 18 western states region and as an engineer in both public and private endeavors and WHEREAS under his direction much pro progress gress greas has been made in numerous water resourc resource e projects including the central utah project NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the directors of the central utah water conservancy ser vancy district hereby express their appreciation to george D clyde for his untiring and far reaching efforts in behalf of the central utah project and the state of utah and commend him for his outstanding record of achievement during a career spanning many years of dedicated service service adopted april 6 1970 |
