Relation Central Utah Project; Western Waters Digital Library; CENTRAL UTAH WATER conservancy DISTRICT ilem ilaw glow madah madoh dl mork mori n080 SPRING 1985 ludlow retirement lynn S ludlow secretary and general manager of the central utah water conservancy district announced his retirement plans after twenty years of dedicated and successful service to the district he plans to retire on may 1 1985 or until a replacement has been appointed since january of 1965 mr ludlow has served as the original and only secretarygeneral Secretary General manager of the CUWCD which is headquartered in orem utah the district was organized in 1964 and since that time mr ludlow has been instrumental in the success of the development of the central utah project the district is the sponsor of the largest water reclamation project ever to be undertaken in the state of utah the district as sponsor represents the citizens of twelve counties in the construction of the central utah project by the bureau of reclamation during his twenty years of dedicated service mr ludlow saw that the strawberry collection system from the upper stillwater reservoir to the enlarged strawberry reservoir was completed or is under construction st ruction this water development was very instrumental and will be instrumental in delivering the 136000 acre feet of water to the wasatch front for irrigation municipal and industrial use he supervised the construction of four water purification plants during his time at the central utah water conservancy district A very badly needed water treatment facility was developed and built in the ashley valley A water supply was brought to the duchesne area by building the duchesne water purification plant in utah county the utah valley water purification plant has been constructed and will be vital to the water delivery of high quality water to orem and north utah county areas in salt lake county the jordan valley water purification plant one of the first plants built under mr ludlows ludlowe Lud lows supervision has been treating and delivering water into the residence of salt lake county for a period of twelve years the jordan aqueduct system from the utah valley purification fi plant north to 21st south in salt lake county has been completed with one subsection the jordan 4 aqueduct to be finished later this year one of mr ludlows ludlowe Lud lows most firm commitments was to make sure that the vital portions of the central utah project were complete in addition to his duties as secretarygeneral Secretary General manager for the central utah water conser continued byca 3ycq 8yca tyce ili ill
